The Causeit, Inc. knowledgebase is a new feature on our site. In it, we're capturing the information we share with clients all the time and making it available for the world. Think of the knowledgebase as a cross between Wikipedia and a dictionary. Don't forget to check under entries for their references, which often are chock-full of useful links. Share entries with your friends, post comments asking for clarification, or search by keywords.

    TCO: Total Cost of Ownership

The total cost of ownership is a financially calculated number that estimates the total direct and indirect costs of owning an asset such as a product or system.  For example, the total cost of ownership of a car is not just the purchase price, but also the expenses incurred through use such as repairs, insurance, and fuel. Said another way, it's not just the silk shirt, but the dry-cleaning, too.
